Mário Alves

CEO and co-founder of LayerX, an AI studio based in Porto that designs and operates products at the intersection of AI agents, automation and open innovation. He founded TAIKAI in 2018, a hackathon and open innovation platform used by organisations across Europe, including the European Commission, and today leads LayerX's AI Consulting offering. An economist by training with a passion for technology, he is a non-technical founder who builds products with AI and organises several AI community events in Portugal.
